The Reinstatement Application is for Architects previously registered in Alabama. The following items are required for Reinstatement:

1. Alabama Application for Reinstatement;

2. Reinstatement Affidavit;

3. Continuing Education Reporting Form with acceptable documentation.

4. Citizenship Affidavit with acceptable documentation.

5. License Verification – Copy of wallet card/certificate or a letter of verification/good standing from resident state (online verification from another state’s license roster is not acceptable).

6. Reinstatement Fee – – A check (business or personal), cashier’s check, or money order made payable to the Alabama Board of Architects in the amount of $460 (includes a $250 reinstatement application fee, $135 registration renewal fee, and $75 late penalty). Cash payments are not accepted.

If you prefer payment by Credit Card, the total amount due is $478.40 ($18.40 convenience fee charged by Alabama Interactive). Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and
American Express are accepted. For this payment option make sure to Include the following with your application: Name on Card; Credit Card Number, Expiration Date,
Security Code, and affiliated zip code. The card will be charged upon final application approval.

Please allow ten business days from receipt of your application materials for processing.  Applications are reviewed in order of receipt. Following the initial application review process, you will be contacted by email regarding your application status.
